The name "Soonchunhyang" means "the peaceful hometown complying with the will of heaven." In 1978 Dr. Succ-jo Suh, a renowned authority in neurology established Soonchunhyang Medical College with fewer than one hundred students to educate aspiring doctors.His philosophy of medical practice was, “It is not a doctor, but Heaven that cures a disease.
